My goal is to produce beautiful, timeless and functional pieces that can be enjoyed and treasured every day for years to come. I want to support others to reduce their impact on our planet by minimising waste and moving away from our throw away culture. Connecting with the simple pleasure of using hand crafted objects every day.
After the birth of my daughter in 2009 I was looking for a creative outlet and so I attended my first pottery class and was immediately hooked. However, with the earthquakes in Christchurch and the arrival of my two boys, my pottery journey took a bit of a back seat.
The lockdown gave me the time and opportunity to slow down and focus on what I really wanted to do and for me this was creating beautiful pottery that people connect with. And so, Connect Ceramics was born.
I create small batch hand-made ceramics from my home studio at the base of the Port Hills in Christchurch, New Zealand.
